The Chamber brings people and industry to our community. The Forrest City Area Chamber of Commerce is the ONLY recruiter of industry in St. Francis County. In the past few years, the Chamber has recruited new industry such as Boar's Head Provisions, Inc., Belleville Shoe Manufacturing and the Federal Correctional Instituition. These facilities are bringing people to cour county and employing our residents, ensuring that your business has an available and expanding customer base.
The Chamber is also the first point of contact for new people and industries moving to our area. The Chamber receives calls and e-mails daily from people interested in moving to our area. Many of them are relocating with local industries. The Chamber is their first source of information about goods and services in St. Francis County. The Chamber sends prospective new residents information packets which include listings of member businesses providing pertinent goods and services. This helps ensure that newcomers will "Buy Chamber" first, as well as welcomes them to our community.
The Chamber also receives calls asking for recommendations on various types of businesses and services and we provide Chamber member names first.
The Chamber of Commerce is proud of the role it has played in improving our community. Yet in order to keep moving forward, we need more citizens involved with the Chamber. As a business owner or an individual, you have a vested interest in your local Chamber of Commerce and the direection and progress it makes for the future.
