Forrest City is situated atop the beautiful geological formation of Crowley's Ridge. Located on busy Interstate 40, Forrest City lies 92 miles east of Arkansas' state capitol, Little Rock, and 45 miles west of the mighty Mississippi River and Memphis, Tennessee, the distribution center of the South. We give you the best of two worlds. On one hand, our proximity to these cities offers you the amenities of a metropolitan area. On the other hand, our smaller city atmosphere offers a lower cost of living, less traffic congestion, a more relaxed pace and sincere community appreciation for you and your business.
Set amid vast acres of rich Delta farmland, the area boasts farms and industries that are on the cutting edge of technology. Forrest City has attracted companies with varied industrial bases, from manufacturers of electronic consumer goods and industrial equipment to deli meat processors and a wholesale grocery distributor. Our industrial park has sites available, infrastructure in place, ready to develop, all within sight of I-40.
The Forrest City Industrial Park, owned by the Forrest City Industrial Corporation, is located adjacent to I-40. There are currently four sites available, totalling 145 acres.
The park is cleared with less than a 2% slope. None of the sites are in a 500-year floodplain, and a Phase I environmental has been conducted, with clean results.
The City of Forrest City provides water/sewer service. The park is served by a 12" water main and a 12" sewer main. The pumping capacity is 10.25 MGD, with an average consumption of 3.44 MGPD, and peak consumption of 5.6 MGD. Storage capacity is 3.20 MG. Wastewater treatment consists of an activated sludge processing plant, designed for expansion. The design flow is 2.12 MGD, with an average daily flow of 1.10 MGD. The design BOD loading is 5516 lbs/day, with an average daily BOD loading of 3200 lbs/day.
The park sites are served by Woodruff Electric Cooperative Corporation with distribution at 13.2KV from 15 MVA and 12 MVA substations. Substations are on loop feed 6 transmission circuits. Optional time-of-use rates are available for industrial loads.
Gas is supplied by CenterPoint Energy with a 6" main that can supply 150,000 cfh at 50 psi. (Capacity 125 psi). Additionally, there is a major pipline 2,000 feet to the west.
