Economic Development: Industrial Park

The Forrest City Industrial Park, owned by the Forrest City Industrial Corporation, is located adjacent to Interstate 40. There are currently five sites available, totaling 135 acres.

DESCRIPTION OF SITE:

The park is cleared with less than a 2% slope. None of the sites are in a 500-year floodplain, and a Phase I environmental has been conducted, with clean results.

UTILITIES:

WATER & SEWER: The City of Forrest City provides water/sewer service. The park is served by a 12" water main and a 12" sewer main. The water source is 10 wells, with treatment consisting of the addition of chlorine and fluoride. The pumping capacity is 10.25 MGD, with an average consumption of 3.44 MGPD, and peak consumption of 5.6 MGD. Storage capacity is 3.2 MG. Wastewater treatment consists of an activated sludge processing plant, designed for expansion. The design flow is 2.12 MGD, with an average daily flow of 1.10MGD. The design BOD loading is 5516 lbs/day, with an average daily BOD loading of 3200 lbs./day.

The park sites are served by Woodruff Electric Cooperative Corporation with distribution at 13.2 KV from 15 MVA and 12 MVA substations. Substations are on loop feed 6 transmission circuits. Optional time-of-use rates are available for industrial loads.		Gas is supplied by Reliant Energy Arkla with a 6" main that can supply 150,000 cfh at 50 psi (Capacity 125 psi). Additionally, there is a major pipeline 2,000 feet to the west.		$8,000 to $13,000 per acre.
